Welcome to Crestview International School’s Preschool Division, where our innovative DISCOVER Framework sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth. We create a nurturing and inspiring environment where children can explore, create, and develop essential skills, empowering them to become confident, independent, and well-rounded individuals.
Classes: Our Preschool Division offers four developmental levels, including:
Toddler Play Group: For children aged 2 years old
Pre-Kindergarten 3: For children aged 3 years old
Pre-Kindergarten 4: For children aged 4 years old
Grade K: For children aged 5 years old
Crestview’s Preschool Division utilizes the DISCOVER Framework, an innovative approach to early childhood education that integrates the best elements of various curricula formats. Our curriculum implementation is primarily guided by the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) and aligns with the US Common Core Standards for Kindergarten and the Thai Early Childhood Curriculum (B.E. 2560).
Our approach emphasizes child-initiated learning, creativity, active learning, and intentional teaching strategies, resulting in a balanced educational experience that fosters independence, confidence, and well-rounded development.
The curriculum prioritizes child-centered learning at each level, engaging students through hands-on activities, interactive projects, and collaborative experiences. This approach encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-expression while supporting children in making meaningful connections with their experiences.
Our educators carefully plan developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to the individual needs and interests of each child. By using ongoing assessments and observations to monitor progress, we provide personalized feedback, support, and adjustments to the learning plan as needed.
Thematic Approach and Learning Stations: Our preschool classes employ a thematic approach, with teachers planning activities and learning experiences around central themes or topics of interest. These themes are integrated across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and arts, helping children make connections between concepts and deepen their understanding of the topic.
In addition to the thematic approach, our teachers incorporate Learning Stations in their classrooms. These designated areas offer hands-on, self-directed learning experiences related to specific subjects, skills, or themes. Learning Stations, which include literacy, math, science, art, sensory, dramatic play, and building centers, foster exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Teachers adapt Learning Stations to align with the curriculum, specific themes, and children’s interests and skill levels, allowing children to work independently, collaborate with peers, and engage in various learning experiences that support their overall development.
At Crestview International School’s Preschool Division, we utilize the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) as our primary guide for early childhood education. The IPC, a globally recognized program, offers a comprehensive, thematic, and skill-based approach to learning. Developed by a team of doctorate academics, this pioneering international curriculum aligns with and exceeds the standards of all major education systems, ensuring the highest quality education for our young learners. International Preschool Curriculum (IPC) is aligned to meet or exceed the standards of all major education systems making it the most internationally accepted ECE curriculum in the world. From Singapore Math to UK Literacy, the IPC has had to meet some of the most stringent standards to be truly international.
In addition to the IPC, our curriculum aligns with both the US Common Core Standards for Kindergarten and the Thai Early Childhood Curriculum (B.E. 2560), providing a strong foundation for our students’ academic development while incorporating cultural relevance. The US Common Core Standards encompass a set of high-quality academic guidelines that outline the knowledge and skills students should possess at each grade level. These standards ensure a consistent, rigorous, and coherent education, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that prepare students for success in college, career, and life. The Thai Early Childhood Curriculum focuses on developing essential skills, knowledge, and values necessary for a successful transition into primary education. It includes Thai Language, Thai Culture, and Thai History, taught by government-certified Thai teachers, and encourages student participation in various Thai cultural activities.
We also incorporate Chinese Language and Culture into our program, introducing students to the rich traditions and linguistic complexities of one of the world’s most widely spoken languages. This immersive program emphasizes language proficiency, cultural understanding, and communication skills development, preparing students for success in a globally interconnected society.
At Crestview International School, we place a strong emphasis on wellness, offering a series of programs designed to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Our commitment to a balanced education and nurturing environment enables students to reach their full potential as confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens.
