🍃 Through Eco-Crafters, they are connecting with nature by doing leaf and twig rubbings, feeling the textures, and turning them into creative artwork.

🧘‍♀️ In Yoga, the children are practicing Mindful Listening while focusing on breathing exercises to help them relax and stay balanced.

These engaging activities nurture creativity, health awareness, and mindfulness in our young learners!

On 28 November 2024, our Thai Teaching Fellows, Subject Teachers, Office, and Support Staff came together for a transformative workshop at Crestview's Soft Gym titled:
"Empowering Positive Change: Creative Strategies for Shaping School-Aged Children's Behavior."

The session was led by K. Juthamas Ruksasawad, a renowned psychologist with an impressive portfolio:
✨ School Psychologist at the Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office.
✨ Chairman of the School Psychologist Committee for the Student Protection and Assistance Center.
✨ Special Lecturer, Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Naresuan University.
✨ Co-Founder and Director of Mental Health Social Entrepreneurship (Zone Zero Project).

The workshop equipped our team with creative strategies to positively influence student behavior, fostering a supportive and thriving school environment. Today, our students had an incredible learning experience during the Fire Drill organized by the local Fire Station at Crestview. 🏫👩‍🚒

The day began with an engaging symposium, where students learned about fire safety, emergency protocols, and the importance of staying calm during emergencies. This was followed by a hands-on fire drill, where they practiced evacuation procedures under the guidance of trained firefighters. 🚨👏

A big thank you to the local Fire Station for their dedication and support in educating our students about safety and preparedness. This experience not only reinforced essential safety skills but also inspired some of our young learners to dream of becoming future firefighters! 🌟🚒

Leading up to the event, our elementary students crafted their own krathongs, decorating them with beautiful flowers, leaves, and candles. On Thursday, they joined with our preschoolers to release their creations together, celebrating this cherished #ThaiFestival.

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with cultural traditions, celebrate unity, and reflect on gratitude and respect for water. 🌊 Watching their krathongs float peacefully brought smiles, laughter, and awe—highlighting the beauty of learning together and honoring diversity at Crestview.

These handcrafted floral floats are a beautiful way to show gratitude to the water spirits and to honor Thai traditions. Here are a few snapshots of the wonderful creativity and dedication our students have shown so far.

Tomorrow, on November 14th, they’ll float these krathongs during our own Loy Krathong ceremony here at school. On November 15th, the Loy Krathong Festival will be celebrated across Thailand, lighting rivers and canals nationwide with beautiful krathongs, symbolizing forgiveness and hope. Crestview International School Safety Training Update

On Friday, October 18, 2024, our school participated in a comprehensive Active Shooter Training and Drill for all teachers, students, and staff. Led by several local law enforcement officers, the training was designed to ensure that our school is well-prepared for any emergency situations.

We began the day with a school-wide orientation to review safety protocols, followed by specialized training for select classes. We are deeply grateful to Pol.Col. Worapan Pisootthanon, Deputy Commander of the Lopburi Provincial Police Division, and Pol.Lt.Col. Pokkrong Tamisanon, Deputy Superintendent of Thahin Police Station, for leading the effort with their expertise.

For safety reasons, we are unable to share more photos from this important day, but rest assured that the well-being of our school community remains our highest priority.

On September 27, 2024, our preschoolers from Grade K, along with students from Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, embarked on an exciting field trip to the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center in Ayutthaya! 🇹🇭 Built by local resident Amarin Sensathien, this center offered our students an incredible opportunity to explore and learn about New Theory Agriculture, inspired by the Sufficiency Economy philosophy.

Set on a 3.5-rai plot, Ban Kong Por is a beautiful showcase of harmony between nature and community, featuring a pond, fields, agricultural zones, livestock areas, and a residential section—all open for visitors to enjoy, free of charge! Our students enjoyed hands-on activities that taught them about sustainable living and how this model supports both the environment and the community. 🌾🐓🌱

As an added highlight, they had the unique experience of planting rice in the paddy field—a memorable and educational activity for everyone involved.

🌟 Today at Crestview, we had our very first student assembly for this academic year! 🎉 The assembly was led by our incredible Toddler Playgroup-Ruby and Pre-Kindergarten 3-Amber classes in Room B6.

All of our preschool students, along with their teachers, gathered together to witness the amazing activities prepared by the two classes. The students showcased their talents through presentations and interactive activities, all centered around our virtue of the month theme: "Adaptability." 🌱🤗

Today, our little learners from TP, PK3, and PK4 classes took an exciting field trip to the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center in Ayutthaya! 🇹🇭

Built by local Ayutthaya resident Amarin Sensathien, our preschoolers had the chance to explore and learn about New Theory Agriculture, a concept based on the Sufficiency Economy philosophy. This beautiful 3.5 rai of land showcases a harmonious balance of nature and community, featuring a pond, fields, an agricultural zone, a livestock area, and a residential section—all for visitors to enjoy, free of charge!

Our students had a blast participating in hands-on agricultural activities and learning how this model of sustainable living supports both the environment and people. 🌾🐓🌱

Last Friday marked an exciting milestone for our school as our elementary students cast their votes and participated in electing their first-ever student government officers! This experience goes beyond simply choosing their leaders—it’s an important exercise in responsibility, leadership, and democracy.

Through this process, students are learning to make informed decisions, voice their opinions, and understand the significance of their roles within the school community. It's an empowering opportunity for them to grow into thoughtful, active citizens!

About the Kangaroo Math Competition:

The Kangaroo Math Competition is an international school-level mathematics competition organized by the Association Kangourou sans Frontieres (AKSF), a transnational education group based in Paris, France. Founded in the early 1980s, the Kangaroo Math Competition has grown to become the world’s largest math competition, with over 6 million participants from around 80 countries as of 2018.

Thailand was inducted into AKSF in 2018, and Phi Learning Centre has been sanctioned by AKSF to organize the Kangaroo Math Competition in Thailand since 2019.

Exciting news! Crestview International School has been confirmed as a testing center for the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) on September 29, 2024, at 9:00 AM. We invite parents to consider having their children participate in this event, although it is entirely optional. The registration deadline is September 8, 2024.

You can register directly on the SEAMO website at https://seamo-official.org/ or through our school by contacting the front office. The registration fee is 790 baht (including VAT). We have 25 seats available, open to students from Kindergarten 3 (Grade K) to secondary levels.

Please note that non-Crestview students can also choose our school as their testing center. For more information, please visit the SEAMO website.

Important: This is not an official event of Crestview; we are simply serving as the testing center for SEAMO.

🌸 Yesterday, we celebrated the Wai Kru Ceremony, a beautiful tradition that holds deep significance in Thai culture. Organized by our dedicated Thai Department, led by Mrs. Sirasa Panprommas, the ceremony was simple yet profoundly meaningful. Our students offered flowers to their teachers, symbolizing respect, gratitude, and the bond between teacher and student.

At our international school, we cherish and honor this tradition, recognizing the importance of showing appreciation for the educators who guide and inspire our students daily. The Wai Kru reminds us all of the timeless values of respect, humility, and the pursuit of knowledge.
