Expected Schoolwide Learning Outcomes

ESLO

At Crestview International School, our commitment is to cultivate well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also thrive physically and exemplify exceptional character. We recognize the importance of a holistic education that nurtures students’ intellectual, physical, and emotional development, enabling them to reach their full potential and make a lasting impact on the world around them. Our Expected Student Learning Outcomes (ESLO) serve as the guiding principles and foundation for this comprehensive approach to student growth.

By embracing our ESLO, Crestview International School students embark on a transformative educational journey that empowers them to discover their unique strengths and abilities, embrace wellness, and inspire greatness in themselves and others. These outcomes provide a clear roadmap for achieving academic success, personal well-being, and outstanding character, equipping our students with the essential skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape.

At Crestview International School, we empower you to grow your mind by thinking smart, working well with others, learning about the world, and appreciating the uniqueness of every individual.

I CAN Nurture My Mind

1-A. I CAN think smart, solve problems, and be creative while I learn new things.

This means you can use your brain to think of new ideas, find solutions to challenges, and come up with imaginative ways to approach your learning. For example, when you’re working on a puzzle or solving math problems, you can try different strategies to complete them, or when drawing a picture, you can create your own story using your imagination.

1-B. I CAN talk and work well with others, making friends and helping each other.

This means you can communicate effectively and collaborate with your peers, building friendships and supporting one another in reaching your goals. For example, when working on a group project, you can share your ideas and listen to others, or during a class discussion, you can ask questions and offer help to your classmates.

1-C. I CAN learn about the big world and why we should work together to solve problems.

This means you can understand the importance of global cooperation and learn how countries and people from different backgrounds can work together to address shared challenges. For example, learning about the importance of recycling and how different countries collaborate to protect our planet or discovering how people from various cultures come together to solve world hunger.

1-D. I CAN like my own culture, be nice to people from different cultures, and understand that everyone is special.

This means you can appreciate your own cultural background, respect the differences in others, and recognize the unique qualities of every individual. For example, celebrating your own family traditions while also learning about and appreciating the customs of your friends from other cultures or participating in school events that showcase diverse cultures and traditions.
